Qatar FA actually requested FIFA to start the world cup 1 day before it was planned and Opening ceremony was the real reason behind the move. Now the world cup curtain raiser event will take place 1 hour before the one and only game on Friday, 20th November 0222.

The opening match between Qatar vs Ecuador is set to kickoff at around 18:00 Local / 17:00 CET / 16:0 uk time while the opening ceremony will start around 1 hour before the first kickoff. The opening ceremony will be 30 minutes show.
